Four Cylinder Club of America History Project

The High Sierra Chapter was in the Inyokern and Ridgecrest areas of California.  I only have one set of photos for this chapter, all of which are of their signature event, the Desperation 500.  You can scroll through these via the sub-menu.

Here is a photo of a trophy presentation an a Desperation 500 event (unknown year).  In it, you can clearly see the High Sierra Chapter’s patch, interestingly, does not include the FCCA logo.

If anyone knows anything about the Desperation 500 or the people in the photo, please contact us.

That is me the rally master of Desperation 500. I would have to look around to find the date and place. Yes I still have a lot of stuff around. A couple years ago I sent some one a bunch of stuff about our club but never seen much of mention hear.

      Hi Walt

So nice to hear from you! I’m still actively engaged in documenting the history of the FCCA. Over the past several years, though, I haven’t had a chance to add to the web site, due to the pressing demands of my business. In the past year, however, I have had a chance to organize the archives and will be updating the web site over the next year or so. The materials you sent me have been incorporated into the Archives. I’l send you an email with photos of the present state of the archives.
